Leading med-tech supplier Boddingtons will be promoting its new £4.6m state-of-the-art injection moulding plant at the Compamed Exhibition, Düsseldorf, November 14-17, 2016.

Boddingtons exhibits at the world’s premier med-tech show for the first time this year. The company will travel to Germany in November with a full array of promotional materials relating to its new manufacturing plant, Class 7 Clean Room and med-tech manufacturing services.

Keith Lawson, Commercial Director says that ‘we are delighted to now be exhibiting at a show that we know well – having been a regular visitor over the past five years.

Our new factory – to be launched by Lord Digby Jones on Tuesday November 1 – will be a key part of our sales and marketing efforts at Compamed 2016. We shall have both video and brochure material to illustrate our new capabilities.’

Current Med-Tech competencies at Boddingtons include:

• Product development

• Tool Design and Manufacture

• Product Design and Development

• Precision Injection Moulding

• Automation and Flexible Assembly

• Industrialisation & Scale Up

All of this is achieved within a highly regulated (ISO13485) & quality compliant environment.

Some 15% of the new Boddingtons floor space will initially be used as modular Class 7 cleanroom manufacturing. The two factories will work in parallel, separated by 100 yards and thus offering full ‘risk mitigation’ for the most demanding customers in technical and medical sectors.

cleanroom

The advanced moulding environment includes; expandable Class 7 cleanrooms, reducing bioburdens and particulates; white room(s) with less fibres and contiminants, disaster recovery safeguards and many other customer benefits.

Boddingtons has won the product design category for the Plastics Industry Awards three years in a row. Two of those winners, Arc Medical and Braidlock, are in the medical device category and are expanding and thriving today.

The primary business goal of Boddingtons at this year’s Compamed 2016 is therefore to promote the company’s services to customers, who are looking to build Class 1 or Class 2 sterile, or unsterilized medical devices.

‘This incorporates various sub sectors,’ says Lawson, ‘which include diagnostic, healthcare and pharmaceutical. Our new large flexible white room and cleanroom facility is ideally placed to turn customer ideas into products ready to market. We look forward to working with those ideas at Compamed 2016.’

An earlier opportunity for discussion will arise for those invited to the Boddingtons factory opening by Lord Digby Jones on Tuesday November 1st in Marden, Kent.

A portion of the afternoon of November 1st has been set aside for one-to-one tours and meetings with customers, designer and product specifiers.

Boddingtons has a few places reserved on November 1st in order to give interested companies a unique preview of the services that will shortly be launched into the market.

The day will provide for direct and one-to-one discussions on helping manufacturers meet their commercial and manufacturing objectives.
