Quality Policy

To achieve the objectives set out above by ensuring that the Quality Management System is operated effectively & economically.

To review the adherence to and adequacy of the Quality Management System & to implement effective corrections where necessary.

To pursue a programme of continuous quality improvement.

To ensure that all staff are clearly aware of their responsibilities within the system so they play their part in achieving the quality objectives.

To employ personnel with the qualifications and experience commensurate with their responsibilities and where necessary to provide additional training to meet statutory, contractual or company requirements.

To ensure that work carried out on behalf of the company by sub-contractors meets the standards of the company.

Quality Management System ISO 9001:2008

Boddingtons Technical Plastics holds certificate no FM 508102 and operates a Quality Management System which complies with the requirements of BSEN ISO 9001:2008 for the following scope:

Plastics solutions provider specialising in the design, development, project management and production of tooling and moulding components including secondary operations to add value to the moulded product.

Quality Tools

To satisfy the demands of customers with such a diverse portfolio of products, Boddingtons quality control system has adopted key tools from the Automotive sector, for example advanced product quality planning (APQP) for all new projects, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) through to Production Planning Approval Process (PPAP) and customer approval. Therefore proactively identifying potential quality issues and minimising risk to new projects.

In conjunction with the above tools, automation and proprietary process optimisation software, we continually improve toward our objective of right first time projects with quality and economics designed in for the life of the product. Our investment in technology to test and monitor materials and processes qualifies compliance from delivery of raw materials to despatch of finished products.

Training

Boddingtons quality ethos extends throughout the company and as an Investor in People the company is committed to developing its employees.

All manufacturing personnel participate in the company-wide NVQ scheme – at Boddingtons the best possible quality is mandatory.
