Injection Moulding Tooling

With over 30 years experience in mould tool manufacture, Boddingtons has expertise for tools ranging from single to multi-cavity, hot and cold runner, with both core-pull and unscrewing features. We design for all types of moulding materials but specialise in engineering polymers with high filler content or PVC which require more regular maintenance.

Consequently, Boddingtons can offer a unique guarantee that its tooling is maintenance free for the life of the product.

The UK facility produces tooling ranging in weight from a few kilos to a tonne and anything up to six tonnes can be manufactured via offshore partners in Europe, India and China. This enables utilisation of low cost outsourcing whilst retaining control of product relevant design and project management backed up by full modification and maintenance support.

Local rapid tooling partners are also used in highly technical developments, when only the real parts will do for the qualification process. This potentially has the added advantage of decreasing time to market.
