Leading UK injection moulder Boddingtons is set to use next week’s Compamed exhibition in Düsseldorf (Nov 14-17) to further drive its award-winning medical manufacturing services to visiting international medical and healthcare businesses and OEMs.

The Marden, Kent-based manufacturer is enjoying a record sales year for 2022 (@ £20m), and has also this year been shortlisted for three of the UK’s prestigious Plastics Industry Awards.

Boddingtons CEO Andy Tibbs says that ‘Compamed 2022 will offer us an opportunity to step up our international sales efforts. At the present time the current weakness of sterling means that we can be ultra-competitive for Continental and US customers. There is a international supply opportunity that we intend to take full advantage of.’

Boddingtons Plastics first exhibited at Medica Compamed in 2016. The company will primarily offer Compamed show visitors Class 7 cleanroom manufacturing services for the production of Class 1 and Class 2 medical devices. These operations are supported by international quality management systems with full regulatory compliance services on all five continents.

Boddingtons operates a state-of-the-art facility in South East England for the production of injection-moulded components, medical devices and assemblies. All manufacturing is included within the scope of ISO 13485 and MDSAP accreditations. The company has won the prestigious Plastics Industry Awards (PIA) a record-breaking four times for its design-for-manufacture expertise.

From concept design, tooling, validation, CE marking to Medical Device registrations, Boddingtons offers its customers a fully managed programme; helping them with new product introductions and the increase of market share.

The Covid 19 pandemic triggered a high demand for Boddingtons services, one that has not abated since. Mould tool transfers to Boddingtons have also helped customers to boost the quality and cost-effectiveness of their medical projects.
