This comprehensive service includes:
Our in-house toolroom is equipped to deal with anything from simple single impression tools, to multi-cavity hot runner tools including 2K Moulding. The diversity and knowledge from within the Toolroom enables Boddingtons to support tool transfers, modifications or adjustments including full servicing capabilities.
New tooling can be sourced and supported by our tooling and Project Managers, committed to on time delivery at every step of the process.
Part of this new tooling process includes Moldflow Analysis – we share our findings and detail the results with animations and visuals showing the impacts of certain product design elements or tooling requirements to alleviate potential issues before steel for the tooling is cut.
Boddingtons is prepared to support any tooling transfer whether from within the UK or overseas. We have over the years been able to support in numerous projects from small single cavity tooling, to very large high cavitation complex tooling. Our technical team supported by our engineers can assess, adjust and modify tooling as well as manufacture new robot heads, conveyors etc from a production handling point of view. We also offer the re-validation service once we understand what is required from the customers own processes and procedures and work together on a strategy that gives a consistent product, process and documentation to support the ongoing production needs.
Our plastic injection moulding facilities are complemented by assembly rooms providing automated and manual completion of products in Class 7 & 8, Whiterooms and General assembly areas.
We handle all of your custom manufacturing needs including printing, ultrasonic welding, testing, sterilisation management, prototyping and packaging development.
Understanding the customers needs from the outset is paramount so that Quality & Customer understand the capability of the tooling and process. Each tool delivered to Boddingtons either by way of New Tooling or via a Transfer project, the fine details of requirements are mapped out and agreed to allow the Technical Engineers and Project Managers to work together with the customer on sampling requirements including validation requirements to enable all ongoing production to be seamless. Once approved and handed to our production teams, our ongoing process is locked with no allowance for deviation.
