Leading UK injection moulder Boddingtons will use next week’s Medica Compamed exhibition in Düsseldorf, November 13-16, to further drive its award-winning medical manufacturing services to the visiting international medical and healthcare businesses and OEMs.
Boddingtons has been continuously exhibiting at the world’s leading medical trade fair since the opening of its £4.6m state-of-the-art injection moulding factory in November 2016.
Chris says that ‘as ever, the Compamed show offers Boddingtons an unequalled opportunity to market our Class 1 and 2 medical device manufacturing expertise and to introduce visitors to our Class 7 cleanroom facilities.’
These Boddingtons operations are supported by international quality management systems with full regulatory compliance services on all five continents and – from this year – with the ISO 14001 environmental standard.
Chris adds that the Compamed show will conclude a series of 2023 exhibition successes at home and abroad. ‘For Boddingtons, at least, exhibition marketing drives sales,’ he says.
‘It also encourages new thinking and new clients. For example, our core expertise in medical devices has led us this year to prospects and orders in the pharmaceutical packaging and ocular heath markets. We are now looking at further opportunities in other adjacent sectors to medical.’
For Boddingtons a trip to the annual Compamed show generally involves a return trip straight into the arena of the UK’s Plastics Industry Awards (PIA). 2023 is no exception. ‘We return from Düsseldorf on the Thursday night and then join In Touch at the Hilton the following evening – shortlisted for supplier partnership of the year (ancillary equipment) says Chris. ‘It will be a full week!’
Boddingtons operates a state-of-the-art facility in South East England for the production of injection-moulded components, medical devices and assemblies. All manufacturing is included within the scope of ISO 13485 and MDSAP accreditations. The company has won the prestigious Plastics Industry Awards (PIA) a record-breaking four times for its design-for-manufacture expertise.
