Leading Medical Device Manufacturer and med-tech supplier, Boddingtons, returns to front and centre at Med-Tech Innovation EXPO 2020 with several new resources and accolades now at its back.
Boddingtons CEO Andy Tibbs says that ‘our substantial investment in MTI EXPO 2019 was exactly the right move at the right time for us.’
The company stand was situated directly at the front entrance of the exhibition entrance. The Boddingtons name was on every visitor lanyard and the impressive stand construction was also home to Bladderlight from Cytosystems; a Boddingtons manufactured product that would go on to win Industrial Design of the Year as part of the prestigious Plastics Industry Awards. 2019.
As a statement of intent the right impression was given. It will be hard to top it in 2020 but the Boddingtons team are intent on bringing new features to the MTI EXPO 2020 party.
The company’s medical device focus has yielded a significant sales increase thus far into 2020. ‘We have innovative new projects in the pipeline,’ reports Tibbs, ‘in similar vein to the award-winning Cyto Systems project of 2019. Our one-stop-shop manufacturing services are in high demand and we are delighted to be raising our Class 7 cleanroom capacity accordingly.’
Boddingtons is also busy with tool transfer work for medical clients – improving injection moulding techniques; general productivity and volume output. The company’s new cleanroom extension build (set to house a further seven injection moulding machines) is set to enter commission at the end of this month and will primarily serve the production of Class 1 and Class medical devices.
MTI EXPO 2020 will see Boddingtons showing how its significant investment in the new Medical Device Single Audit Program (MDSAP) is set to repay its customers several times over.
MDSAP is a global regulatory audit approach promoting alignment of Quality Management Systems and Regulatory approaches with the goal of improving medical device safety. Last year Boddingtons qualified for the standard at the first time of asking.
At MTI EXPO 2020 Boddingtons will exhibit new video productions of both the new cleanroom and the MDSAP standard. The videos will illustrate how both of these supporting features can help specifiers and customers in the medical device marketplace.
