Boddingtons reports an upbeat exhibiting experience at the UK’s only med-tech exhibition, MTI EXPO 2017, which took place at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry last week.
Chris Philpott, Boddingtons Sales Manager, reports a healthy visitor footfall and lively conference and seminar proceedings.
‘This was the first time I had been to this particular show and staying at the Ricoh stadium in Coventry, with our rooms overlooking the stadium itself. Our 5 x 4m stand had great presence and position over the two day of the show.’
Chris adds that ‘during this time we were able to interact with like-minded individuals from all areas of the medical device sector from inventors through to current and new potential customers.
Both myself and Keith Lawson, Commercial Director, were in continuous discussions with visitors about potential projects. It was great to discuss these opportunities, allowing us be seen as a partner in the process from concept to delivery.
Our £4.6m investment in our new factory facility was a particular talking point, especially now that we have two Class 7 Cleanrooms at our disposal.’
Chris adds that ‘we had particular interest in our various capabilities – from conceptual design, prototyping, tooling, automation and full manufacture together with the added benefit of having our own dedicated Regulatory Manager onsite. This allows us to support on the generation of technical files and making sure that all relevant documentation and registration with the correct governing bodies has been taken care of.’
Boddingtons has exhibited at the MTI EXPO for the last 4 years, with it growing year on year and ourselves now promoting services for Class 1 and Class 2 device manufacturing; housed in our brand-new £4.6m factory and Class 7 clean rooms.
The Boddingtons modular Class 7 cleanroom is now currently equipped with a total of eight new Engel injection moulding machines, ancillary equipment and other production items, including purpose built printing facilities and automation.
The advanced moulding environment at the company is designed for maximum flexible assembly capabilities and high-spec production, which includes the ability to create finished components and shelf-ready packaged components.
