Early in June ’18 plastics injection moulding manufacturer, Boddingtons, successfully partnered ARC Medical at Digestive Disease Week 2018 (DDW).
Boddingtons has extended the scope of its award winning work with ARC Medical and now manufactures and supplies a broad range of mouldings for the latter’s global markets.
Boddingtons CEO, Andy Tibbs, was in attendance at this year’s DDW event, year in Washington DC, USA together with representatives from ARC Medical UK and USA. ‘Boddingtons is delighted to be partnering ARC Medical and to be growing its manufacturing expertise in this area of specialist med-tech business,’ he says.
As well as being FDA compliant and a 1stclass technical moulder, Boddingtons supplies all manner of additional services to med-tech customers from its Class 7 clean rooms, providing services such as over-moulding, assembly, packaging, printing and labeling for Class 1 and 2 medical devices.
‘As a med-tech injection moulder we count ourselves among the relatively few “finished articles” worldwide,’ says Tibbs. ‘US med-tech business requires nothing less, which is why we believe that we can optimise our business opportunities here in the coming months.’
As well as offering an exhibition space and networking forums, DDW has a seminar programme that highlights aspects of medicine in this area, such as irritable bowel syndrome, colonscopy techniques and the role of artificial intelligence and medical instruments. DDW will next year be located in San Diego, May 18-21, 2019.
This will follow closely on the heels of Boddingtons’s renewed commitment to the UK’s Med Tech Innovation event. The 2018 MTI exhibition will take place at the NEC, Birmingham, May 15-16. Boddingtons has booked a larger stand space in a prominent position.
Meantime, Boddingtons Med-Tech capabilities will next be exhibited at the annual Medica Compamed, show in Düsseldorf, Germany, November 12-15, 2018.
