Boddingtons enjoys a successful PDM 2016
Boddingtons, enjoyed a successful exhibition at Plastics Design and Moulding (PDM) June 14-15, 2016, Telford.
Managing Director, Andy Tibbs says that ‘the event gave us a useful opportunity to meet industry friends, old and new, and to welcome new business enquiries. Our own Keith Lawson also played a key part in the PDM 2016 seminar programme, presenting the story of our involvement with the award-winning Braidlock product.’

Last week saw the company entered for a record four categories in this year’s upcoming Plastics Industry Awards. Boddingtons took a brief time out in Telford last week from the ongoing work on its new factory build which should be operational for the company within the next couple of weeks.
Boddingtons current factory expansion and financial status – backed by holding company Rubicn – keeps the company’s commercial ambitions on track by effectively doubling the company’s manufacturing footprint. ‘We found a lot of interest around the show in our new development,’ says Tibbs.
The two Boddingtons facilities – old and new – will work in parallel, separated by just 100 yards and thus offering full ‘risk mitigation for our most demanding customers in technical and medical sectors,’ says Tibbs.
The new facility will formally launch in mid-September and will house; an exceptionally advanced moulding environment; expandable Class 7 cleanrooms, reduced bio-burdens and particulates; white room(s) with less fibres and contaminants, disaster recovery safeguards and many other customer med-tech benefits.
The new Boddingtons building will also feature all modern conveniences, including improved disabled access, new canteen and meeting facilities, customised computer, communications and server facilities, hardware and software, daylight lighting, ergonomic systems of building control and energy efficiency and other features.
We intend our new facility to be a showcase and a moulding destination for the best customers in the world,’ says Tibbs.
