Leading injection moulder and med-tech supplier Boddingtons will market its newly launched £4.6m state-of-the-art injection moulding factory at the prestigious Compamed exhibition, Düsseldorf, November 14-17.
Some 15% of the new Boddingtons floor space is already being used as modular Class 7 cleanroom manufacturing and demand for these services in the med-tech supply chain is expected to be immediate.
Andy Tibbs, Managing Director says that ‘we are delighted to be exhibiting at Compamed for the first time. It is the leading event in the med-tech supply chain world, and so we have made sure to come to Düsseldorf fully equipped with all details of our new manufacturing facility. We view our new moulding facilities as the equal of any in Europe, if not the world.’
The new Boddingtons manufacturing facility was opened by Lord Digby Jones on November 1st. Lord Jones told a capacity audience that Boddingtons ‘provides world-class products. Innovation, taking ideas to market, quality, brand – Boddingtons are all about that.’
Andy Tibbs says that ‘our production environment at Boddingtons now includes:
- expandable Class 7 cleanrooms
- a large flexible White Room
- provides a disaster recovery safeguard and other customer benefits.
Boddingtons won the prestigious 2016 Plastics Processor of the Year category of the Plastics Industry Awards at the London Hilton on September 30th. Tibbs notes that ‘We make it here’ in all senses of the phrase. We aim to provide a one-stop-shop for our med-tech and industrial clients. Our competencies not only include injection moulding but many others, which include finishing and assembly processes, printing, welding, packing and packaging. We also provide regulatory and technical support for our customers.
We are looking forward to showing Compamed visitors our complete package and our brand new factory space will further enable the development of our resources and competences.’
Boddingtons is looking forward to next week’s Compamed 2016 event, co-located with the Medica exhibition in Düsseldorf. The exhibition is established in order to provide a visitor footfall of leading OEMs, healthcare and medical manufacturers who are seeking manufacturing suppliers and contractors to the worldwide medical and healthcare industries.
