Award-winning plastics injection moulding manufacturer, Boddingtons, returns to Southern Manufacturing 2017, marketing renewed manufacturing services within a brand new £4.6m manufacturing facility.
The new injection moulding plant was formally opened on November 1st last year by Lord Digby Jones who praised the vision and commitment of Boddingtons and the company’s investment in ‘these amazing new manufacturing facilities.’
Some 15% of the new Boddingtons floor space will initially be used as modular Class 7 cleanroom manufacturing and demand for these services is expected to be immediate.
The advanced moulding environment at Boddingtons now includes; expandable Class 7 cleanrooms, reducing bioburdens and particulates; white room(s) with less fibres and contiminants, disaster recovery safeguards and many other customer benefits.
The new manufacturing facility has been built to the highest standards and will offer improved disabled access; new canteen and meeting facilities, customised computer, communications and server facilities, hardware and software, daylight lighting, ergonomic systems of building control and energy efficiency and many other features.
Boddingtons Managing Director Andy Tibbs says that ‘once again, we are really looking forward to the Southern Manufacturing show.
We are looking forward to telling visitors about our state-of-the-art injection moulding facilities and our flexible assembly capabilities, which include capacity to create finished components and shelf-ready packaged components. We now have an ideal setting for our pro-active policy of partnering with proactive and blue chip businesses for world class manufacturing.’
Boddingtons has enjoyed a successful 12 months of business since exhibiting at Southern Manufacturing in 2016. Last Autumn saw the company scooping the coveted accolade of Processor of The Year trophy at the UK’s Plastics Industry Awards, September 30th London Hilton.
Part of the reason for the success is that Boddingtons is expert in all facets of the design and manufacturing process – guiding good product ideas and steering projects through to the right position in the market. All manufacturing programmes at Boddingtons come on line through the company’s gated New Production Introduction (NPI) process. This helps ensure that the customer’s financial and timeline risks are minimized.
Boddingtons manufacturing credentials have been honed and perfected over the past sixty years. The company welcomes designers, product developers, brand managers and associate manufacturers to its Southern Manufacturing stand to discuss new business
