The prestigious 2016 Processor of the Year Plastics Industry Award will be presented front and centre when Lord Digby Jones formally opens the new Boddingtons factory on Tuesday November 1st.
Boddingtons scooped the industry’s top prize at the annual awards at London’s Hilton Hotel on Friday September 30th.
Prior to September 30th Boddingtons had won the design category three years in a row. This is the first time the Marden based injection moulding company has won the Processor of the Year accolade.
Always the most keenly contested category – Boddingtons saw off very keen competition from major moulding groups to win the prize.
Managing Director Andy Tibbs says that ‘we are delighted to add 2016 Processor of the Year to our trophy cabinet. Our new £4.6m state-of-the-art facility undoubtedly played a part in this year’s competition. However, for me, the winning factor has been the contribution of all our people at all levels. We are looking forward very much to our factory opening day on November 1st, which will open up yet another chapter in the growth story of Boddingtons.’
Boddingtons has a few places still reserved in order to give interested companies a preview of the unique manufacturing services that will shortly be launched into the market.
The afternoon of November 1st will provide time and opportunity for direct and one-to-one discussions on helping manufacturers meet their commercial and manufacturing objectives.
